Latency Killer Docs

Everything you need to install, configure, and get the most out of Latency Killer.

Getting Started

Latency Killer is a Windows optimization tool built for gamers. It applies real, reversible tweaks to lower ping, raise FPS, and stabilize your connection.

The fastest way to begin: download the app, run it as administrator, create a backup, then head to PC Boost and apply the optimizations that suit your setup.

Installation

1. Download the installer from the download page.

2. Double-click the installer. It automatically requests Administrator access — this is required so the app can change DNS, services, and system settings.

3. If Windows SmartScreen appears, click More info → Run anyway.

4. Once installed, launch Latency Killer. The app always runs elevated, so every feature works out of the box — no extra steps.

Requirements: Windows 10/11 (64-bit), 4GB RAM, 200MB disk space.

PC Boost

PC Boost is the heart of Latency Killer. It has three tabs:

  • System Tweaks — toggle real Windows optimizations like Ultimate Performance power plan, disabling SuperFetch, and Game DVR.
  • RAM Cleaner — instantly free inactive memory back to the OS.
  • DNS Optimizer — measure real DNS latency and switch to the fastest resolver.

System Tweaks

Every tweak is a real change to Windows — applied via registry, services, or power configuration — and every one is fully reversible by toggling it off.

Free users get a set of safe tweaks. Premium unlocks the full library including advanced and expert-level optimizations. Toggling a locked tweak shows the upgrade option.

Some tweaks require a restart to take effect; the app shows a restart bar when needed.

RAM Cleaner

The RAM Cleaner trims the working sets of running processes, returning inactive memory to Windows. This is genuinely useful before launching a heavy game.

Use the Allow list to protect specific apps from being touched — click Add App to pick from your currently running programs. RAM Cleaner is free for all users.

DNS Optimizer

The DNS Optimizer pings popular DNS resolvers (Cloudflare, Quad9, Google and more) in real time and ranks them by response speed.

Click Choose on any server to apply it to your Windows network adapters instantly. Free users can use any standard resolver; the single fastest sub-30ms server is a Premium perk.

Use Reset Windows default to revert to automatic (DHCP) DNS at any time.

Backups & Restore

Before applying tweaks, head to the Backups section and click Create New Backup. This creates a real Windows System Restore Point.

If anything ever feels off, you can roll your system back to that restore point through Windows System Restore. The app lists all restore points it can see.

Free vs Premium

Free — a curated set of safe system tweaks, full RAM Cleaner, and standard DNS resolvers.

Premium — all tweaks unlocked (including advanced/expert), the single fastest DNS resolver, and priority support.
